From the humid and lovely city of Houston, Texas I am Aaronni. Growing up I begged my mother for a perm from the age of 6-9. She would constantly tell me “Aaronni your hair is beautiful, you don’t need a perm.” But as a girl who was the ONLY girl in school with out a perm, I refused to believe her. So at the age of 9 I got my first perm and I loved it…for a while.
Fast forward to March 2009.

Women all around me were going natural and I thought they were going CRAZY! I could not fathom chopping off my hair to be “natural”, but as fate would have it I had my last perm that March.
From March 2009 to July 19, 2009 I went without perms; it was on July 19, 2010 that I had my BC and I have never looked back!
I love my natural hair and with it came the creation of my publishing company REKH Publishing Company and I wrote many books (I have not published them yet). I felt so liberated as a natural Black woman and every since then I have been spreading the word of Go Natural.
With my blog, Naptural Aaronni, for my beautiful Naptural Women taking off I am more ready than ever to take the message of Natural is Beautiful all over the world!
Words of advice to newbies:
Get to know someone who has been natural for a while! They will be a well of knowledge and can help you with the transition.
