Santa Please, this Black Friday

Our Kinnks’ blog will be One year old on January 4th!!  Our directory has over 400 links to date, and is still growing!!  Since developing Kinnks.com, it has been our mission to find links related to natural hair.  In the process, I have created a ‘Santa Please’ list of Natural Hair Related items that I want!  I like to create gift baskets for my friends.  Of course, anything that I gift…I also want for myself.  My ideal gift would be a gift basket filled with all these items.  Some of the companies have been gracious enough to provide you, a Kinnks reader special promotions.  I will be sure to post these specials on Cyber Monday.

Something Different: Shampoo Bars by Bobeam Hair Products is a perfect gift under $5!   Bobeam’s specialty is shampoo bars made with all natural ingredients. The shampoo bars contain no SLS or SLES, detergents, surfactants, or sulfates. They are all-natural, 100% vegetable soap, non-comedogenic, hypo-allergenic and biodegradable.  This Friday, when you buy a shampoo bar you will get a tea rinse free!

Exercise Your Mind: A Natural Woman by Lori Johnson has grabbed my interest on so many levels.  It is the only book that I have read in which I not only relate with the main character Aliesha, but feel I could be her.  We have so many parallels in our thought process.  I will have a review on my new favorite book, A Natural Woman very soon.

Butter Your Body: Generations Spa‘s All Natural Body Butter can be used on your body and hair as a dry conditioner.  This Friday, Save 30% off everything with free shipping!  I am impressed with GS’s stance on social responsibility.  Products are Fair Trade Certified, meaning they pay a fair price to farmers for their goods.

And there was Light: Candles by Naturally Me.  I went to one of the big bath-n-body stores.  I was outraged by the prices and the ingredients in their products.  I stomped out of the store with the intention of stocking up on candles from Naturally Me.  They have awesome candles under $20 that smell deliciouso, and last very long.  The 100% Soy candles have true to life fragrances from Grandma’s Oatmeal Cookies to Berries and Cream. Yum-o.

Hair Decorations: When it comes to accessories I have to say my two twitter buddies Tomoka’s Twist and Sarenzo Beads fulfill my needs.  They both have hundreds of unique accessories for natural hair.

Sarenzo Beads: owner Sarah has proven to be good listener.  She constantly creates new inventions for natural hair needs.  She even post instructional videos on youtube.

Tomoka’s Twist:  Owner and featured blogger Carmen has taught us to reach for the starts in your entrepreneurial dreams.  She just received her Sisterlock license in which she can offers professional advice and unique accessories.

Moisturize: Nourish & Shine by Jane Carter Solutions is a Shea Butter based product infused with essential oils.  It has cool, clean, light citrus smell.  I was blessed to have an opportunity to interview the down to earth Jane Carter.  Interview and Giveaway will be posted very very soon.

Product Junkie: Aziza Beauty Supplyis a one stop shop for seeking natural hair products.  When seeking products I have relied on co-owner Darshall for advice.  Aziza’s mission is to promote the ideals of natural hair and skincare for all!

The Writing Is On the Wall: I Love My Hair: Originally ‘I love my hair’ was a campaign to encourage African-American women to love and embrace their naturally coily hair, I Love My Hair evolved into a brand that celebrates those special coils through art and design.

Fashion Pride: Kinnks Tee: Oh, in my natural hair gift baskets, please believe I will include Kinnks Tees!  We currently offer a Basic White Tee (Sale $12), and a Linen Heather Destroyed Tee ($20).  All sporting the Kinnks Logo in the front, and “Don’t remove the kinks from your hair, remove them from your brain.” ~Marcus Garvey quote on the back.  We just got Plus sizes in this week that will be posting very soon.

There are plenty of more items that I can add, but I am going to limit my list for now.  Monday, as mentioned before, check back for special for Kinnks Readers!!
