In addition to being heavily involved in the blog community, she writes articles for eBraiding, DC Examiner, and Clutch Magazine. Did I mention she also owns her own hair care line Bo Beam? NOW, I am happy to say Laquita is a regular contributor of Kinnks.com!! Every monthly, Laquita will share an editorial of the growing world of natural hair business. ~Lady Kinnks

The Business of Natural Hair
By Laquita
As the popularity of natural hair grows so does the business of natural hair. Not too long ago, you could not walk into a store and actually see a product on the shelf geared solely toward natural hair. But nowadays, not only can you find products geared toward natural hair all over the Internet, but in the beauty aisles of drug and grocery stores and neighborhood beauty supplies.
Target has even dedicated aisles to natural hair products like Miss Jessie’s, Jane Carter, CURLS and many more.

Not only are natural hair products on the rise, but more natural holistic hair salons, natural apparel and hair accessories are as well. By just doing an Internet search, you will find several natural hair businesses that cater to all your natural hair needs from small upcoming shops, to well established companies.
In my upcoming posts, I plan to spotlight some of these businesses. I may even add a few product reviews as well - so stay tuned. Recently, I started collecting natural hair gear of all sorts including, of course, Kinnks tees. As a recovering product junkie, I try to treat myself to a new product or accessory once a month, so I will be sharing some of my new finds.
There are several online shops like Zazzle, Cafe Press, etc. that feature natural hair artwork, stickers, tees, bags, buttons and more. I would suggest to naturals and transitioners to start collecting your natural gear by treating yourself to one item every time you reach a hair goal.
Sporting your natural hair gear/accessories will uplift your spirits along your natural hair journey and they are great conversation starters; people will stop you and ask about your tee or accessory, and they will ask you questions about your hair and for advice as well. I am so excited and looking forward to sharing with Kinnks readers.
