Hubby and I took my little baby, a 3 pound Yorkie to the vet. Everything checked out—yipi! The vet sat down with his legs spread apart, he had a chubby belly and a thick white beard and was very jolly. I asked about 20 questions to get my money’s worth. After answering my many question he said…
Now, I have a question for you
What was Santa going to ask me? Maybe I should get my dog neutered, or maybe address my parenting skills?
How long have you had twist?
Ummm…Years I explained. I was so taken back, and shocked that Santa knew I had twist!
He continued…. There are some ladies that work here that also wear their hair twisted. It seems when you wear your hair like that you either shave it bald, or have it twisted.
I agreed. Do they have locs I asked? Then the confusion started
No, but one lady’s hair reaches down to her back.
Hmmm…He too thought I had locs. I have to say I was still impressed. My veterinarian, a Santa look-a-like, 60+ White male took the time to notice different Black natural hair style. Kudos doc. I always meet with clients, and I see their eyes drifting from my face to my hair. What are they thinking I wonder. I am so curious to know what impressions people think of my hair!
