Over the last year she has been a guest panelist at Towson University discussing “Under the Surface: Working While Black in America”. Her dedication and views on natural hair has been a hot topic throughout the city of Baltimore, including her past interview with WEAA radio host Neil Mattei and Sandy Mallory. Due to the overwhelming response to Jennifer’s first panel discussion, Towson State University had invited her to speak at “Under the Surface II: Working While Black in America”, which took place on April 7, 2011. Jennifer was born in Brooklyn, New York to Grenadian parents. As a small child, watching her father work in the barbershop, Jennifer knew that her future was “hair”. She enrolled at Morgan State University (MSU) and became everyone’s favorite campus beautician, creating hair styles that turned her college dorm to a campus salon. She graduated from MSU as well as Cosmetology School, and within a few years Jennifer took the hair styling industry by storm as a participant in the Milky Way Hair Show & Competition and the world famous Bronner Brother’s International Hair Show in Atlanta, Georgia.
